Emily Doolittle and Alex South  attended the first European Bird Song Network conference in Kostelec Castle in Czechia, where Emily presented some of her research on how culture affects our perception of birdsong, and Alex performed a concert of birdsong-related pieces including Hollis Taylor’s Suite for Clarinet and Field Recordings, Czech composer Petr Wajsar’s Birdie Pranks, and two pieces by Emily, Gannetryand Gardenscape.
