SHARE Interdisciplinary Symposia
A series of one-day symposia for interdisciplinary artist and researchers
The SHARE symposia are a biennial (barring any pandemic interruptions) day-long events focusing on interdisciplinary research between arts and non-arts fields, for researchers and artists at RCS, St Andrews, and beyond.
2025 symposium on Inspiration

SHARE Symposium#3 was held on Tuesday 10 June 2025 from 1-7pm in the Byre Studio Theatre in St Andrews.
The topic for this is Inspiration, in all its literal and metaphoric forms:
1. the process of being mentally stimulated to do or feel something, especially to do something creative
2. the drawing in of breath; inhalation
The symposium was organised by Laura Bissell, Emily Doolittle and Laura González Athenaeum Research Fellows Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
2023 symposium on Creative Health

Our Second Interdisciplinary Symposium, co-hosted by SHARE, the RCS Innovation Studio, and the St Andrews Graduate School for Interdisciplinary Studies was on the topic of Creative Health, and tool place in spring 2023. More info can be found here.

2019 symposium
Our First Interdisciplinary Symposium was held in 2019, and focused broadly on collaboration between people in arts and non-arts fields.
